Connie is a familiar voice on WVTF and a familiar face for many TV viewers in Southwest Virginia.Connie worked as a reporter for WVTF in the early 90s before switching to television news at Roanoke’s WDBJ where she spent seven years as a reporter and anchor. After WDBJ, Connie joined the faculty at Radford University where, for seven years, she taught media writing and news reporting as well as advising majors and coordinating internships.Connie started her broadcasting career as an anchor and reporter for the Virginia News Network in Richmond. Before coming back to WVTF, she occasionally filed features for the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities radio service. Connie holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Hollins University.
