Fred Echols came to WVTF in 1991 as a news announcer. A North Carolina native, he began his radio career in 1967 in Reidsville, and he has spent most of those years in the Triad area, working as an announcer, talk show host, reporter, program director, sportscaster, and station manager. Fred anchors and hosts All Things Considered and specializes in reporting on Federal court stories and the environment.
