Sturlen Vaughan - Assistant Engineer

Sturlen Vaughan joined WVTF’s Engineering Department in July 2007. The Vinton native graduated in 1986 from Virginia Western Community College with an associate’s degree in electronics engineering technology.

Before coming to WVTF, Sturlen worked with Blue Ridge PBS (WBRA) for 21 years, working his way from operations engineer to chief engineer. Sturlen is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

He resides in Roanoke with his wife, Allison, and teenage daughters, Brittni and Sydney.
