Capitol News Connection Internships

Capitol News Connection with Public Radio International is an independent news service providing public radio stations across the U.S. with localized reporting on Congress.

Capitol News Connection is looking for student interns beginning January 1, 2010. We are looking for talented students in the fields of journalism, social media, marketing and business development. Journalism interns will research stories, cover news events and congressional hearings, record audio and video, and assist our award-winning reporters in the production of web and radio stories for CNC clients. Interns with a strong interest in social media will upload multimedia content to the new CNC website, assist in getting citizen questions for lawmakers answered, help aggregate content, take photos, shoot and edit video, tweet nonstop and help keep our Facebook pages refreshed. We also need interns to help us with marketing and publicity, as well as new business development. Internship is unpaid, and requires at least two full days per week during Congressional term, and can be used for school credit. Please email resume, cover letter, experience, interests and any relevant clips, URLs or audio links to careers@cncnews.org. No calls please.
