Travelin' On
Travelin' On airs Sundays at 3 p.m.
Travelin' On is an hour-long weekly contemporary bluegrass show created and hosted by WVTF music director Seth Williamson. The show starts where Bill Monroe left off, with bluegrass, newgrass, alt-grass and mountain music. Featured will be bands such as Country Gazette, Blue Highway, David Via and Corn Tornado, Nickel Creek and others.
A long-time radio announcer, Williamson began his career at WVTF in October 1983. He currently hosts the weekday classical music show, in addition to contributing feature news stories heard during local Morning Edition segments.
Seth is a musician as well and has played bluegrass banjo for many decades.
