Vermont Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders spoke to thousands of students and supporters Monday at Liberty University in Lynchburg.
The Democratic presidential candidate didn’t hesitate in acknowledging inevitable differences in opinion between himself and his crowd of right-leaning evangelical college students.
But he says it’s important to find political common ground moving forward, and continued his message as one of in combating the massive injustice of income and wealth inequality.
After visiting Liberty University, Sanders traveled to the University of Virginia, to tape an interview at the Miller Center for the public affairs program “American Forum."
