The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Virginia passed the 200 mark Thursday. And the number of reported new infections also bounced back up slightly.
208 Virginians have died from the illness, according to data from the Virginia Department of Health. That's 13 more than the number reported Wednesday.
After three straight days of drops, the number of new infections bounced upward Thursday. The health department reported 389 new positive cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 6,889. Wednesday's number of new cases was 329.
