The offices of all local governments in the Richmond area will be closed Monday. Officials say the closure will allow additional planning and cleaning related to COVID-19.
The closure includes public facilities in the City of Richmond and the counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover and Henrico.
Public safety and public health operations will not be affected. Designated employees should report to work.
Chesterfield County logged its first positive case of COVID-19 over the weekend.
