Ben Cline Wins 6th District Seat

Nick Gilmore / RADIO IQ

Virginia’s 6th Congressional District has been represented by a Republican for more than two decades. And, that trend will continue with a new face.

Republican Ben Cline cruised to a victory over Democratic challenger Jennifer Lewis Tuesday.

The Rockbridge County attorney and state Delegate believes he is ready to represent all of the district’s constituents – Republican or Democrat.

“Well I have said an argument for a vote for me is that I will be able to hit the ground running and need no on the job training at taxpayer expense. So, I look forward to doing just that and getting to work for the people of the 6th District.”

Cline is a former staffer for Bob Goodlatte – the long-time Republican representative for the District. Goodlatte announced he would retire from Congress after 25 years on the job.
