Excursions Planned for Steam Passenger Locomotive

Tickets are now on sale for Norfolk & Western Class J 611 excursion this spring and summer.

There are several day trips around the state, and you can find the schedule here.

The locomotive's homecoming is  May 30, as it arrives in Roanoke between  2 p.m. and 4 p.m.,  stopping near the former N&W Passenger Station, now home to the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau and O. Winston Link Museum.    The celebration will be open to the public and free of charge. On Sunday, May 31, festivities will continue at the VMT; more details will be announced soon. (We're planning BIG things!)
