The annual Sounds of the Mountains Festival is coming up this weekend, April 17-18, at Fincastle’s Camp Bethel. It’s a national festival featuring story-telling, music, the spoken word, along with campfires and nature walks.
A new feature of the festival this year, the 14th annual, is a Story Slam with eight storytellers and cash prizes. The topic of the slam? “From this I learned the importance of friendship..."
