It's the Reconvened or Veto Session at the Virginia General Assembly. While lawmakers spent much of the day focusing on failed budget negotiations, they have been able to make progress on some other issues. Some members criticized Governor McAuliffe’s amendments and vetoes to legislation—but also applauded several measures that actually strengthened the bills from their original form.
