Appalachian Spring in The Blue Ridge

Aaron Copland's beloved Pulitzer Prize-winning work "Appalachian spring" suite will be heard in its original instrumentation, featuring the Shaker Tune "Simple Gifts" and a sparking mountain hoe-down. Its simple power, beauty, and heartfelt melodies are a perfect pairing for the intimate acoustics of Shaftman Hall, right here in Virginia's Blue Ridge. Also performed will be works by Copland, Joplin, and other American masters.
