In April NPR, WVTF, RADIO IQ and New City Arts will offer a group exhibit– “Our Common Landscape“– featuring work by Dean Dass, Adam Wolpa, Kate Daughdrill, Greg Kelly, and Steve Taylor at the WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery.
Dean Dass is Associate Chair for Studio Art in the UVa McIntire Department of Art and recently had a large retrospective of his work at Les Yeux du Monde and Second Street Gallery. Adam Wolpa is Associate Professor of Art at Calvin College, an artist, and a UVa alum. Kate Daughdrill is a Detroit-based artist, and co-founder of The Garage and Detroit SOUP. Greg Kelly is an artist and Director and co-founder of The Bridge PAI. Steve Taylor is an artist and Director of Second Street Gallery.
These artists inhabit this landscape, and in some cases, actually deal with the literal site and space around us.
The WVTF and RADIO IQ Studio Gallery is located at 216 West Water Street, Charlottesville.
Featured work: “First Paths,” Adam Wolpa, 2011, gouache, ink, and pencil, 13? x 19?.
