WVTF RADIO IQ Job Openings & Internship Information

On-air Host/Producer

The Afternoon Host for Radio IQ will live-announce our broadcast of NPR’s All Things Considered as a primary duty, and, secondarily, produce news content and special programming as needed. They will also expected to be available to live-host, outside the usual 4 to 6:45PM weekday time-frame for special coverage (any time from 11 AM to 8 PM as news breaks).

They will serve as the primary local voice most weekday afternoons providing news and related content as well as selecting and presenting the highest quality content for air. There will be focused attention to accuracy, balance and integrity while upholding high journalistic standards and maintaining a professional and accessible sound.

WVTF Public Radio is owned and licensed by the Virginia Tech Foundation.
All staff at WVTF are employed by Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech is an EOE employer.
