Turtles

  • Nearly all species of sea turtles are endangered, but people are still poaching them for food, medicine and luxury goods in large numbers. This month, scientists reported more than a million turtles had been killed in the last 30 years. Here in Virginia, experts on marine life have teamed up with more than four dozen volunteers to improve the odds of survival for turtles in this part of the world.
