Roanoke's largest, free multicultural festival that celebrates ethnic heritages from around the globe. Now in it's 31st year, the Local Colors Festival brings many different cultures together for a day of family friendly activities. Watch the opening ceremony with the Procession of Nations, taste the dishes of many international cuisines, watch vivid dance and music performances, learn about different cultures from several exhibits, purchase vendor goods representing different cultures, and enjoy an international beer. Kids can create international crafts in our children's activity area. It is a great way to experience the rich tapestry of diversity in the area.
