Music on the Corner

Music on the Corner

Music on the Corner is excited to open our '24/'25 concert season with a reprise of our Silent Movie night of last fall. The church is transformed into a Silent Movie theater, with a giant screen up front and the Aeolian-Skinner/Quimby pipe organ front and center! We are delighted to welcome back Dorothy Papadakos to accompany the first vampire movie ever made, the iconic 1922 German classic "Nosferatu", based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula". Dorothy is a graduate of The Julliard School and was the principal organist for 20 years at the Cathedral of St John the Devine in New York City. She accompanies silent films on the international stage and is an accomplished concert organist, composer, lyricist, playwright, and author. We are fortunate that Dorothy has selected Music on the Corner to kick off her 2024 National Halloween Silent Film Tour. If you missed Dorothy's thrilling Music on the Corner performance of "Phantom of the Opera" last year, you won't want to miss this "spooktacular" event and feel the very rafters rumble and shake from the 5000 pipes of the St. John’s pipe organ! This event is family friendly, but is not suitable for small children.
