Join the Rasquache Mobile Cinema for a screening of work by Indigenous filmmakers, including Ethan Brown, Kevin Krigsvold, and Sky Hopinka. The event will take place on the site formerly occupied by the statue of George Rogers Clark. The Clark sculpture was one of four monuments to white supremacy in Charlottesville, torn down in July 2021. A guest speaker will deliver opening remarks to address the site. Admission is free, and no registration is required. In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled. Attendees are invited to bike to the screening with the Rasquache Mobile Cinema. Meet at 6 pm at Visible Records, located at 1740 Broadway Street, in Charlottesville.
