Michael Barbaro is the host of The Daily, a five-day-a-week audio show from The New York Times. In just one year, the show has built an audience of over one million listeners a day; become the most-downloaded new show in 2017 on Apple Podcasts; won a DuPont-Columbia University Award for audio excellence; and been named a top podcast of the year by Time, Entertainment Weekly, The Atlantic, Esquire, Adweek, The New Yorker and New York Magazine. Before hosting The Daily, Barbaro was a national political correspondent for The New York Times and host of The Run-up, a political podcast that chronicled the 2016 election. Previously, he covered New York's City Hall and the U.S. retail industry. Since 2017, John Myers has been the producer of NPR's World Cafe, which is produced by WXPN at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Previously he spent about eight years working on the other side of Philly at WHYY as a producer on the staff of Fresh Air with Terry Gross. John was also a member of the team of public radio veterans recruited to develop original programming for Audible and has worked extensively as a freelance producer. His portfolio includes work for the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, The Association for Public Art and the radio documentary, Going Black: The Legacy of Philly Soul Radio. He's taught radio production to preschoolers and college students and, in the late 90's, spent a couple of years traveling around the country as a roadie for the rock band Huffamoose.

Most recently, she spent four years working in South Africa as a producer, as well as classical music presenter in Cape Town.
