Artist Barbara Kruger is known for her provocative works including images and text addressing language and meaning. One example is her well-known piece “I SHOP THEREFORE I AM.” Kruger reworked some of her pieces and included new works with text from the web in exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art and the David Zwirner Gallery in New York City.

Karen Michel reports.
