Get ready for the jazz of TSB at Amherst Java & Jazz, where Lew Taylor, Larry Scott & Bob Bowen play jazz for a winter wonderland!

Lew Taylor is a Lynchburg, VA, native with over 30 years experience as a professional performing musician and entertainer, specializing in vocals, piano and guitar. A 1975 graduate of E. C. Glass High School, he was awarded a Special Talent Scholarship and attended the College of Music and Fine Arts at Howard University in Washington, DC. With career experience as varied as the United States Air Force Band, where he received the Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Outstanding Service; Royal Caribbean and Premier Cruise Lines, with whom he formed and led several musical groups; and professional tour experience across the United States, Europe, Mexico, Canada and Pacific Rim countries, Lew Taylor is one of Central Virginia's most versatile musicians. With the USAF Band, Lew Taylor honed skills as a keyboardist specializing in pop, jazz and R&B styles, and as an arranger for groups ranging in size from 60-piece concert orchestras to 16-piece jazz big bands to trios and duos. These skills have made Lew Taylor one of the most in-demand musical artists in the Mid-Atlantic region. His unique skill set allows him to integrate flawlessly and effortlessly into almost any musical situation.

Larry Scott is the drummer and percussionist for TSB. He has performed with Virginia-based artist Patty Dougherty for over a decade. Additionally Larry is a member of the Lenny Marcus Quartet and is a staff member of The Lynchburg Music Education Department.

Bob Bowen is a much-in-demand bass player from Charlottesville to Lynchburg. In addition to playing with TSB for AGAR and at Fratelli's, in the past bit of time, Bob has been seen playing bass with Donna Kay, as bassist for the Lynchburg Symphony, and in the combo accompanying the musical ”1776“ at Poplar Forest.
