Free Family Fun Day: The Billy Goats Gruff

Free Family Fun Day: The Billy Goats Gruff
Using music by great composers like Mozart, Donizetti and Rossini, this is a charming story in short musical theatre style (about 40 minutes long), tailored for children aged Pre-K through 5th grades.
This fairy tale opera delivers a lesson in the joy of kindness even when it’s not easy. In this story, an after-school game of hide-and-seek is ruined when a bully blocks the bridge, preventing three billy goat friends from getting home. Remembering what their parents and teachers have told them about dealing with bullies, two billy goats resolve to go home a different way and get help from grownups. The littlest girl goat, however, not wanting to abandon the beloved doll snatched from her by the bully, she confronts him and he falls in the river! She shows him kindness and he asks to be forgiven. By the time the other two goats return, the soggy, forlorn ex-bully has become a new friend. For more information, call Laura Morck at 434-528-3397.
