The Montgomery Museum of Art & History's 2025 Heritage Day Festival includes fantastic traditional Appalachian music by local musicians and luthiers. Come enjoy the music of Mac Traynham, American Roots, John & Kathie Hollandsworths, Ricky Cox & Willard Gayheart, Mike Mitchell & Son, our local MJAM group, Virginia Hollow and Ash Devine. A coordinating exhibit of local luthiers can be enjoyed in the Museum building along with presentations by Mike Mears and John Hollandsworth. After enjoying the exhibit and/or presentation, take a moment to view and bid on the Silent Auction items on display. Main Street will be active with the main stage and a number of craft vendors along with food trucks and children's activities. A hayride will be available between Main Street & Pepper Street where you'll find additional music in the gazebo, a number of demonstrators & interpreters, artists, lawn games and the native plant Museum Garden.
