On February 24, 2015, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Joint Resolution No. 797 “Designating March 14, in 2015 and in each succeeding year, as a Day of Honor for the Marquis de Lafayette in Virginia.” As part of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture's 250th Initiative, join the VMHC and the American Friends of Lafayette for a special evening honoring the legacy of the French general who played a vital role in securing American independence and championing human rights around the world.

Historically inspired heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, featuring the Lafayette Bicentennial Wine Series from Williamsburg Winery. Winemakers will be available to provide tasting notes.
