Patti Finn and Friends

Patti Finn and Friends
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Second Stage Amherst, “Patti Finn and Friends” are swinging in the sweater weather season with their unique mix of Jazz, Pop and Broadway classics in a torch singer’s style. This concert features her full quartet of musicians for an evening of story and song with musical surprises along the way.
When Native New Yorker Patti Finn relocated to Virginia, she never dreamed her musical pedigree would expand to include more than 25 years of making jazz. Currently teaching AP English in Lynchburg City schools, she is like a cat…with 9 lives. Patti is pleased to announce that her band for this performance includes, on drums, her son, Matt Rapiejko, a professional touring musician on land and seas, orchestra pit and concert hall around the country and around the world. Matt will be just back from a solo guest entertainer show cruising the North Atlantic with his Celtic bodhron and will be making his Second Stage Debut. Others in the band are Ed Mikenas on steel lap guitar, Matt Billings on piano and Glenn Buck on sax and flute.
Amherst Java & Jazz is presented by Amherst Glebe Arts Response and Second Stage Amherst assisted by Baine's Books and Coffee. Concert goers receive a ticket for a free cup of coffee, water or soda at Baine's. Food is also available for purchase at Baine's. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
Tickets are $15/adults. $8/students. VCA-VDH WIC Passport tickets are free when you show a WIC card. You can buy tickets at the door with cash or checks only.
