Rockbridge Choral Society Gala Anniversary Concert & Reception
Celebrating its 50th anniversary season with a grand finale concert, the Rockbridge Choral Society presents a GALA CONCERT & RECEPTION on Saturday, April 18 at 7 pm in Lenfest’s Wilson Concert Hall, Washington & Lee University in Lexington.
The gala program offers a retrospective sampling of repertoire drawn from the rich and varied history of the Rockbridge Chorus, the Rockbridge Youth Chorale and the Rockbridge Chamber Singers, ranging from Bach, Handel and Poulenc to Gilbert & Sullivan, Sondheim and Chilcott. Professional colleagues from across the country will join the choruses, directors emeriti, and current artistic directors William McCorkle and Lacey Lynch in song and on piano.
A champagne/dessert reception provided by The Lexington Catering Company will follow the performance in Lykes Atrium, adjoining the concert hall.

Formed in 1975, the Rockbridge Choral Society is a community chorus of amateur singers performing in and around the historic town of Lexington in the lower Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The Rockbridge Youth Chorale, celebrating 25 years of early music education, guides young students in the fundamentals and joy of choral singing in performance.
