The UVA University Singers, the University of Virginia’s flagship choral ensemble, invite you to join them Friday, November 8th at 8:00 pm in Old Cabell Hall for a special Fall Concert 2024 – featuring a preview of the ensemble’s international tour program. The concert will include a range of a cappella and accompanied works – including music of Ēriks Ešenvalds, following this renowned Latvian composer’s residency with the Singers here last spring. The performance also features music of Clausen, Hogan, Mäntyjärvi, Runestad, Whitacre, Appalachian and Czech music, and a few surprises – all led by UVA faculty conductor Michael Slon. The Singers will also be joined by pianist Deke Polifka, assistant conductor Miles Jackson, and choral alumni for the traditional UVA songs.

The University Singers is the University of Virginia’s flagship choral ensemble, heard by thousands each season in performances of a cappella and accompanied choral repertoire, including major works with orchestra.

Tickets are $15 for the general public, $5 for students, and free for UVA students if reserved in advance. Free UVA student tickets can be reserved through the UVA Arts Box Office. Old Cabell Hall is located on the south end of UVA's historic lawn, directly opposite the Rotunda. At UVA, parking is available in the C1 lot off McCormick Rd, and the Central Grounds Parking Garage on Emmet St. is walking distance to the hall. Handicap parking is available in the small parking lot adjacent to Bryan Hall.
