About the Artist:Andrew Dismukes is a stand up comedian, writer and actor. This year, he returned to “Saturday Night Live” for his third season as a cast member after starting on the show as a staff writer in Season 43. He is a series regular in the forthcoming Amazon animated original, THE HOSPITAL, alongside Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Kieran Culkin and more. Andrew started performing stand up comedy in Austin, TX while studying at the University of Texas where he received a B.S. in radio, television and film. He has performed all across North America and the UK. In 2017 he was named one of the New Faces at the Just For Laughs Festival. He’s also performed at the Moon Tower Comedy Festival, the Dublin comedy Festival, Clusterfest and the New York Comedy Festival, to name a few.

About the Artist:TJ (Tanael Joachim) is a Haitian born stand-up comedian who is currently based in New York City. TJ has a very laid back, smooth, and conversational style. He jokes about race, society’s idiosyncrasies, and the inherent contrast between life in Haiti and America. He has made appearances on Gotham Comedy Live (AXS TV) and Good Day New York (FOX).TJ is a paid regular at the Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club in NYC. He has performed all over the world. He recently returned from a small European tour where he performed in English and French.He has opened for Colin Quinn, Janelle James, Maria Bamford and Sean Patton. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion of how to heal rather than harm forest communities with How to Love a Forest by Ethan Trapper. Blending memoir with scientific revelation, Trapper’s book offers a call to action for those who want to love the forest well.
This event is free and open to the public. Designed for participants aged 12 and up. Participants will meet at the Highland Museum Shop and walk as a group to our comfy conference room for the book club meeting.
