Virginia’s unusually warm spring has meant a bumper crop of caterpillars attacking oaks and other trees in Shenandoah National Park, prompting an aerial attack. For the first time since 2008, forest managers are spraying to prevent a massive loss of leaves. Sandy Hausman has that story.
