Henrico County Public Schools and Richmond City Public Schools will both be closing beginning next Monday because of concern over COVID-19.
Leaders in each district announced late Thursday they will close for at least two weeks. Henrico's superintendent says they'll continue to assess the situation and decide later whether to stay closed for longer than that.
Both districts say they'll provide digital and non-digital learning materials to students.
Charlottesville City Schools and Albemarle County Public Schools will be closed Monday to allow staff an opportunity to train for potentially longer closures.
